April 2010: Easter at the Oziers, a visit from some Texas relatives, and a big birthday party!
April 4, 2010: Once again, Lance and Linda generously host the Zaleskys and the Korkas for Easter. After
a wonderful meal, several folks took a walk up and down the block.
Linda's new yoga studio and equipment provided tons of entertainment for the kids!

Since this was a yoga studio, Aurora and AJ take some time to stretch out after running around.
The day would not be complete without a chance to pet Pele.
April 14, 2010: We headed down to NY for a quick two day trip. On Tuesday evening, we
attended the Walnut Hill Gala and dinner (thanks for babysitting, Wai Po and Wai Gong!). Before
returning to Newton, Aurora had a chance to go check out the Yorktown playground.
We then walked around the track a couple times. Here Aurora is trying to copy Wai Po walking
on the line.
Then Aurora finds a ball left on the field and tries her hand at soccer.

And she explores the gazebo with Wai Po.

We had a yummy dinner and then headed back to Boston.

April 17, 2010: We took Lisa, Christopher, and Weston to the Boston Children's Museum.
For the first time, Aurora really got into the bubble-making room.

The golf ball room has always been a favorite!

Jon's favorite thing in the museum is the three story tower that kids (and their parents) can climb.

And Aurora making music with her bottom!

Aurora tried out the green screen...she's almost ready for prime time TV!

Then she tried on the goggles and apron at the workshop before practicing her woodworking
skills so she can help Baba around the house in the future.

Here she is taking a quiz on the computer...
...showing off her excellent balance...
...and enjoying the "Construction Zone" exhibit with Uncle Anthony!
We walked over to The Baking Crab for lunch. Here's Aurora checking out a lobster.
April 18, 2010: Aurora had her first birthday party (even though she was turning 2). After attending
Greer's party at Gymboree in January, we decided to splurge and have one for Aurora there as well. Kathy took tons
of blurry photos of toddlers in motion - a better camera may be needed for the future - and some decent videos.
The feedback was good, and it seemed like everyone in attendance had a blast.

Naturally, Aurora was tuckered out and had a long nap afterwards. She loves her new Gymbo doll!
After nap, it was to open presents! Actually, Aurora only opened those from family that night. We managed to
spread out the gifts for several weeks, opening one or two every few nights. And sometimes, the
paper is more fun than the actual gift!
April 22, 2010: Aurora practices the alphabet song while reading a book (topless).

April 24, 2010: We met up with Amy, George, and Greer for lunch and a fun-filled afternoon! Aurora got a shock on
some of the plastic playground equipment, and that's why she looks nervous in a few photos, holding her arms close
to her body.
Video: Sliding
Here's my monkey trying to climb a fence!
And George and Greer going down a slide together.
Aurora decides that the metal slide is less likely to shock her.

After a serious workout at the playground, ice cream sure hits the spot! Not sure if Greer or Aurora liked the
ice cream more ;)
Food coma starts to set in as Aurora works on finishing Mama's cone, but it does not stop her from eating it all.
And after finishing all the ice cream and saying "bye bye" to Greer, Aurora insisted on checking out the
playground once again.

A perfect dandelion puff to blow caps off a great day.
