April 2012: The start of spring brought Easter, the Boston Marathon, and lots of time outside.

April 6, 2012: It's Thanksgiving in April! We woke up to find a turkey wandering across the backyard.

Aptil 7, 2012: Attack of the static!

April 8, 2012: Happy Easter! Aurora enjoyed her Easter egg hunt in the house. She happily ate the dried fruit, nuts and candy we put in her plastic eggs.

We eventually head over to the Oziers for the final holiday gathering in West Roxbury. Besides us, the Korka-Vargus and Stanley clans also joined the Oziers. The surprise guests were Owen and Pam, who flew up from DC for a quick visit.

After a big meal, the child tossing competition began. And Jon sometimes wonders why his back hurts!

Back at home, Aurora is inspired by the sunset and needs to make some art.

April 9, 2012: Aurora shows off the "burger" she made in cooking class at school.

April 14, 2012: Aurora helps Jon with reseeding the back lawn. Nothing says "ready to work hard in the yard" like footsie PJs.

April 15, 2012: We meet up with friends for brunch. The weather is so warm, we eat out on the restaurant patio. Aurora helps Jon prep his coffee.

After brunch, we walk down the street to the T station, and Aurora and Jon head off to the Red Sox game. (remember when we won free tickets last month at Trivia Night?) She only lasts a few innings, but luckily it only costs us the price of a T ride.

April 16, 2012: It's Patriot's Day! Jon has the day off so he picks Aurora up from school early and they head out to Walnut Hill to meet up with Kathy. Then we all walk to downtown Natick just in time to see Linda Ozier as she runs past us. It was brutally hot that day, for both the runners and the spectators.
