Most of August was spent recovering from our trip to Taiwan and China. Aurora and Kathy both arrived home sick and
it took us almost a week to be back on Eastern Standard Time.
We spent a couple of days in Boston, enjoying the Swan Boats and Frog Pond. On a few hot days, Aurora
cooled off with the froggy wading pool. We also tried out the pool at Walnut Hill.
The annual E Ink Summer Party was held at Kimball Farm this year. Aurora is a natural (cheater) at
mini golf and she loved the bumper boats. She was cautious about getting into the bouncy castle alone,
but seemed fine if Mama went with her. At the end of the evening, Aurora figured out how to cheat at the limbo too.
Jon and Anthony worked hard to complete the patio project, and even Aurora willingly helped out a few times! All in all,
it was a good end to the summer.
August 9, 2009: At the ADP summer party, Aurora enjoys some ice cream.
August 15, 2009: We headed into Boston for a ride on the Swan Boats. Aurora pointed out the ducks and the birds in the
Public Garden lagoon.

After the boat ride, we walked around the Garden, where we saw many other animals, including Hank the horse. Aurora
checked out the "Make Way for Ducklings" statues, but they were a bit too hot to sit on for more than a few seconds.

On our walk over the Faneuil Hall to meet Anthony for lunch, Aurora discovered the Frog Pond swimming hole.
After lunch, we walked over to the Greenway, where everyone had a carousel ride.

Further down the Greenway, there was a spray fountain which Aurora had to check out.
August 16, 2009: Since Aurora loved the Frog Pond so much the previous day, we decided to head back with her
swimsuit so she could really splash and play in the water. While she was cautious at first, she soon took to it
like Nemo.

August 17, 2009: Blueberry girl.
August 19, 2009: Aurora spent some time in her froggy pool with Baba.

August 20, 2009: Aurora loves cream cheese, and the froggy pool.
August 21, 2009: The E Ink summer bash, where Aurora figures out how to cheat at multiple games and goes on
her first (and second) bumper boat rides. We tried to teach her mini golf, but she found an easier way to get
the ball into the hole.

August 22, 2009: Trying out the Walnut Hill pool.
August 23, 2009: Working on the patio in the morning. Aurora is very good at spreading sand around.
The reward for all the hard labor? More time at the Walnut Hill pool!
August 24, 2009: First day back to school for Aurora. She loves her Ni Hao Kai Lan lunch box!

August 26, 2009: Looking totally cute for school.
August 28, 2009: We invited a few of Kathy's Walnut Hill colleagues over for dinner. Aurora and Rose hit it off,
even though Rose thought Aurora could be a bit too loud at times.
The guest of honor was baby Woody.
August 29, 2009: We met Amy, George and Greer for lunch.
August 30, 2009: More work on the patio. This time Aurora asks for work gloves like Baba has. She ends up with
an old pair of Mama's winter gloves instead.
Our upstairs neighbor Frankie gave us a set of picture cards, and Aurora loves to look at them and identify the
different pictures on them.
