January 2013: After the holidays, we enjoyed a few quieter weekends at home. Aurora still had ballet at Walnut Hill on Saturday mornings, and now Kathy and Jon both added TRX classes afterwards. That meant that we could be at Walnut Hill from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Add in lunch at the dining hall or some playtime with Andrew and William, and we were often in Natick until past 1 pm!

Snowy days meant Aurora got to take advantage of sledding at Walnut Hill and making lots of snow people.

January 5, 2013: Saturday at Walnut Hill. Aurora got to play in the snow with Baba when Mama was in her TRX class, then she went outside with Mama while Baba was exercising.

Video: Sledding!

Video: Hey!

Aurora builds up an arsenal of snowballs, drags it up the hill and off the field...and then waits outside the dance center. And waits.

Ooooo! Someone is coming out! But it's not Baba.

Here he is! Ready...aim... Good thing Baba has good reflexes!

Then they hed towards to gazebo to make a snowman together. For some reason, Aurora decided that her snowman was smoking a pipe.

January 13, 2013: An unseasonable warm day means the chance to go for a family bike ride. We hit the bike trail near the Charles River and head out to Waltham.

At the dam, Aurora and Jon become Nature Trackers, and try to figure out what creature made the big footprint in the sand!

Checking out how high the water is.

January 16, 2013: It might be dark outside, but with the flood lights and a head lamp, Aurora can still play in the snow after school! She makes a snowman with a tutu.

January 30, 2013: Kathy wakes up and discovers that another snowman has appeared on the back deck! This one is wearing a tiara made of leaves.
