June 2010: According to the toddler book, 2 year olds should be able to put otgeher 2-3 word sentences and 3 year olds should be able to do 5-6 word sentences. Aurora is already there, regularly telling us things like "Bye-bye, going to supermarket with Wai Po." After debating about it and being indecisive about what brand/model we'd need, we finally got a bike trailer. It'll hold two small kids, just in case we take a friend along or have a second kid in the future. Aurora loves to sit in it, and tell Jon to "Go faster, Baba!" She also now asks for her picture to be taken and says "Cheeese!"


June 5, 2010: First trip in the trailer. We told Aurora that everyone needs a special bike hat, and she could not wait to get one for herself. While we're driving around, we see many bikers and she points out their bike hats.



June 12, 2010: Walnut Hill graduation day and the end of year employee BBQ. Aurora is showing Justin her boo-boo and charming Anne into giving her a cookie.


We invited Anthony along since there was supposed to be a pre-BBQ softball game. It was rained out.


There were lots of other kids around Aurora's age there, and they loved running around in the wet grass and splahing in puddles.

June 18, 2010: Aurora is ready to go to school. Since Kathy no longer had to be at work by a certain time, we enjoyed more leisurely mornings, getting Aurora to daycare just in time for morning water play. She looks so grown up here!



June 19, 2010: After having an early dinner at Sel de la Terre, Aurora came home to play ball with Baba in the backyard. She didn't let a designer dress or fancy shoes slow her down one bit!

June 20, 2010: Father's Day at Davis's Farmland. This time, Aurora was more into the other play activites than feeding the animals. But of course she loved the pony ride again!

Aurora loves her yellow polka dot bikini, and for some reason she felt compelled to sit on the pig before heading over to the splash park.


This time, Jon brought his own swimsuit so he could play in the water with Aurora. As usual, she was a bit nervous at first, but into it more as she become more comfortable.


Bonus! This time they had a giant pool of bubbles and an inflatable water slide. Aurora loved both.

June 27, 2010: We had brunch with Amy, George, and Greer, and a friend visiting from NYC. After the meal, we headed over to the Newton Center Playground.

June 30, 2010: Aurora is busy potty training her stuffed animals, even giving them stickers as rewards when they successfully go. They have been doing great! Unfortunately, Aurora herself is not too interested in going on the potty.
